Two years ago, when I was in Johannesburg, I attended to (and participated in) a march with the Landless People Movement of South Africa. All along the way the people kept screaming all sorts of things (in english and otherwise) on the microphone. And there is one word that stood out (maybe because they repeated it every 20 seconds): "Amandla".

Well, took me 18 months to find out what it means: "Courage".
